Course content

In the course of the “Back to the bone” course, the osteopath will learn to detect intraosseous restrictions and to integrate intraosseous techniques into osteopathic treatment. This precise type of treatment supports the development of a new balance of bony viscoelasticity, which brings about a change and recovery of the normal physiological load-bearing capacity within the biomechanical system. An interesting postgraduate course and a novel treatment approach that can be easily integrated into any osteopathic treatment concept.

First part (theoretical):

  • Histology of the bone, composition of the bone, bone remodeling and renewal
  • Biomechanics of the bone
  • Viscoelasticity of the bone
  • Role of different tissues in the viscoelasticity of bone

Second part (practice-oriented):

  • Examination of intraosseous restrictions of the lower extremity: sacrum, ilium, femur, tibia, fibula and foot
  • Treatment of various bone structures using specific targeted intraosseous techniques
  • Integration of these intraosseous techniques with regard to common persistent injuries such as MTSS (Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome), patella tip syndrome, coxathrosis and more

Please bring a stethoscope and a tuning fork for this course.
