Course content

In most osteopathic training courses, the endocrine glands and the hormonal system are given far too little attention. As a result, many osteopaths are not familiar enough with the endocrine system, the various hormones and functional hormonal disorders. On the other hand, the incidence of functional hormonal disorders has increased significantly in recent years (stress-associated thyroid disorders, functional immunodeficiency, chronic adrenal exhaustion, cyclical mastopathy, chronic insulin resistance, etc.).

Hormone Osteopathy (Advanced) deepens the knowledge from the previous modules and focuses on particular hormonal phases of life and special situations that play an increasingly important role in osteopathic practice – but are often underrepresented in training and further education.

This advanced course is aimed at osteopaths who have already studied the basics (Basic) and the systemic control mechanisms of the hormonal system (Integration) and would now like to deepen their understanding.

In addition to a compact repetition of the central contents of courses 1 and 2, the focus is on the osteopathic consideration of hormonal challenges in sensitive phases of life and complex functional relationships.

Course contents at a glance:

🔹 Hormonal upheaval phases and their osteopathic significance

  • Puberty
  • Breastfeeding
  • Menopause
  • Senium

🔹 Hormone systems in special contexts

  • Desire to have children
  • Competitive sport
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Osteoporosis

The aim of this course is to impart practical knowledge that goes beyond the traditional teaching content and opens up new, functional-integrative approaches. The combination of sound theory, functional pathophysiology and manual osteopathic treatment forms the basis for in-depth work with patients in exceptional hormonal situations – be it in midlife, in high-performance sports or in chronic metabolic disorders.
