The Dierlmeier Concept® is a unique system for examining and treating the nervous system as a whole. It has been protected by copyright as a registered word and figurative mark since 2009. The concept is a fusion of conventional medical knowledge, manual medicine and osteopathy.
Of the peripheral nerves, the spinal cord and the meninges, there is no part of the nervous system that remains hidden and untreated by the participant.
An integral part of the overall concept is the autonomic nervous system with specific diagnosis and targeted sympathetic and parasympathetic therapy. Learning objective:
You will learn about the nervous system in a simple and logical way.

They practise differentiating between nervous and non-nervous structures and making an accurate diagnosis of the neuro-vascular structures. You will learn a variety of new techniques along the nerve tracts, which include myofascial grips and range from very fine to progressive “manipulation techniques” of peripheral nerves.
You will be able to integrate these immediately into everyday osteopathic practice and previously applied therapy methods. You will practise treatment strategies to adequately treat pain patients and ensure that the pain spiral comes to a halt.
Vegetative symptoms are on the rise and are an important part of osteopathic treatment. You will learn how the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system) is structured and which functions and bodily reactions are assigned to the two systems. In order to treat effectively, it is necessary to track down the origin of the vegetative disorder. In this way, the organ-specific disorder can be specifically influenced. For example, treatment of the vagus nerve may be necessary to correct disorders in the intestinal tract.

Background:
The nervous system is the only structure in the body that comes into contact with all body tissues and controls them. New research shows that manual medicine (which combines manual therapy, chiropractic and osteopathy) has a largely “neurological” effect.
Looking along the nerve tracts for explanations of the patient’s symptoms provides an incentive to rethink previous interpretations. Only when the path is clear and blockages in the neuro-vascular system have been removed can energy flow again and self-healing get underway.
The blockages can be detected and immediately removed through skilful testing of tension and counter-tension.
The nerve mobilization of the Dierlmeier concept can be used almost anywhere, especially for clinical pictures that are associated with hypomobility of body structures.
The list of indications is almost endless: e.g. chronic headaches, whiplash, migraines, ischialgia, cervicobrachialgia, slipped discs, paraesthesia, carpal tunnel syndrome, post-operative rehabilitation, adhesions, post-radiation, vegetative/organ disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and hormonal disorders, stress incontinence, etc.

Lecturer/s

Daniel Dierlmeier DO (DEU)
As head of the Center for Osteopathic Medicine and Naturopathy, Daniel Dierlmeier is close to the reality of the practice. He is a lecturer in manual therapy and device-supported physiotherapy as well as neurology and leads a one-year training course for alternative practitioners. In 2021, he was awarded the title of Dr.h.c.med. by Progress University in Armenia for his work on the nervous system. (Doctor honoris causa medicinae). He is also the editor of numerous specialist publications and author of the book “Das Nervensystem in der Osteopathie”, published by Thieme-Verlag.
