Dr. med. Christoph Bäumer DO (EROP/DAAO), MS paed ost (DEU) Philosophical and practical dissatisfaction with his main specialty, orthopedics, led Dr. med. Christoph Bäumer to pain therapy, psychosomatics, academic osteopathy and pediatric osteopathy, sports medicine, TCM, and ultimately to functional postural medicine, nutritional medicine, and mitochondrial medicine. Through his work in orthopedics and pain therapy as well as postural medicine, there were repeated points of contact with corporate health management, which now plays an important role in working life. Alongside his main job, Dr. Bäumer developed an innovative footbed (SmartFoot) that, like him, “takes a different path.” Today, he is a holistic physician in his own practice, alongside his wife, who runs a practice for urology, natural healing, and nutritional medicine in the same building.
