Course content

Prematurity places special demands on the development and regulation of the infant’s organism. This course examines the connections between premature birth, maturation processes of the immune system, and early development from an osteopathic perspective. Participants will deepen their understanding of the specific needs of premature infants and their significance for assessment, treatment, and care in clinical practice.

Sabine Hansen, Dipl.-oec.-troph., B.Sc. (Hons) Ost., DO, DPO (DEU), has been working as an osteopath since 1999. She co-heads the paediatric clinic at Osteopathie Schule Deutschland (OSD) and has been teaching primarily paediatric osteopathy since 2000. Her particular focus is on treating infants and children. She is a founding member of the German and European Society for Paediatric Osteopathy.
