Course content

This course provides fundamental and in-depth knowledge about the lymphatic system and its significance in osteopathic treatment. Participants will learn about the anatomy, developmental biology, and functional organization of the lymphatic system, identify dysfunctions, and engage with current research findings.

The practical part covers various osteopathic techniques to promote lymphatic flow, including pumping techniques, thoracic and peripheral lymphatic techniques, lymph mapping, and fascial methods. Additionally, indications, contraindications, and targeted application in clinical scenarios will be discussed.

Special focus areas include the relationship of the lymphatic system to organs, fascia, and the autonomic nervous system, as well as its application in specific clinical conditions such as fibromyalgia. In addition, self-help techniques to support lymphatic health will be presented.
