Course Description

This course provides participants with a thorough understanding of the theoretical foundations of myofascial chains and their significance for osteopathic practice. The complex relationships of fascial networks are presented in an accessible way and related to functional movement and symptom patterns.

Another key focus is the exploration of the neuroaesthetic enactive paradigm. Participants learn to analyze its core principles and understand their relevance for perception, movement, and therapeutic interaction in manual therapy.

The practical part of the course focuses on developing palpatory skills and advancing clinical reasoning processes. Participants practice assessing myofascial chains in a differentiated manner and placing their observations in a clinical context.

Building on this, neuroaesthetic and enactive perspectives are integrated with classical osteopathic approaches to develop individualized, patient-centered treatment strategies. The application of direct and indirect techniques for treating myofascial restrictions and somatic dysfunctions is taught and deepened in a practice-oriented manner.

Finally, clinical case studies and current scientific findings are critically reflected upon together. The goal is to promote the integration of what has been learned into one’s own therapeutic practice and to sustainably improve treatment quality.
